Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused range check error in tactical battles
- Fixed a bug that caused range check error on the strategic map
- Fixed a bug that caused leaders to be replaced by grey figures
- Fixed a PBEM bug when recruiting
Enhancements:
- Explanation added when you cannot fire in battles
- Explanation / hint added to some context menu items
- Explanation added when you cannot recruit a unit type
- Units under 40 morale will not be able to charge (applied to auto battles as well)
- Raised melee casualties a bit - this will be revised completely in a future patch
- Americans will not be able to request weapons and guns before the French aid event
Known issues
- The game may not work on nVidia SLI configurations* (systems with 2 video cards)
- Rarely, units may remain on top of each other in tactical battles and become unselectable
For Liberty! is a turn based 18th century strategy game based on a upgraded game engine from the game 1848. Command the armies of the newly born United States or the British Empire during the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). As an added bonus, fight in Hungary, as either Rakoczi's poorly equipped rebels or the Austrians during the War of Spanish Succession, from 1703 to 1711.
Interface Overview:
In your For Liberty! game folder are two graphics that detail and explain the game interface panels.
battle_infopanel.bmp - Details the interface displayed during the tactical battles.
info_panel.bmp - Details the interface displayed while on the strategic scale map.
These graphics can be viewed with any picture viewing program.

New hotkeys
F1 - Help (hotkey list + campaign information)
W - Center map on selected unit (tactical and strategy maps)
F - Change the facing of all units in the hex to the facing of the selected army (strategy map)
G - about face on both the (tactical and strategy maps)
O - Line of sight on the tactical map
Understrength units morale penalty:
Understrentgth units receive a morale penalty when performing morale checks. These penalties are cumulative and affect auto battles and tactical battles as well!
below 50% -15 morale
below 25% -25 morale
below 10% -50 morale

Nvidia SLI Mode Notice:
Currently For Liberty! will not function on a computer running two nVidia video cards in SLI mode. nVidia has been alerted to the issue and a driver fix will have to come from them.
