Midway announced that it has shipped more than 1.8 million units worldwide of Happy Feet the videogame based on the Warner Bros. Pictures blockbuster feature film, Happy Feet, which released in the U.S. on November 17th and has grossed more than $326 million at the box office.

“We are extremely pleased with our continuing expansion into the kids’ videogame market and the strong sales of the Happy Feet games,” said David Zucker, CEO and president, Midway. “Warner Bros. created a wonderful and engaging film for audiences of all ages, and we’re ecstatic to have published a game that both complements the movie as well as strengthens our successful holiday line up.”

About Happy Feet the Videogame
Midway's immersive videogame puts the player in the “tap shoes” of Mumble, a young penguin born into a nation of singing Emperor penguins where each needs a Heartsong to attract a soul mate. Unfortunately, Mumble is the worst singer in the world… however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer!

Based on the general storyline of the film, players are able to experience life from the point of view of Mumble through music, dance and interaction with friends and enemies in his world. Through the course of the game, Mumble grows from a small fluffy toddler into a tall, confident adult as he belly-sleds, dances, and swims through Antarctica on an amazing adventure. The exciting game play features a number of different play modes and is complemented by a playful and lively music soundtrack.

Happy Feet the videogame is currently available for the PS2, Wii, GameCube, NDS, GBA and PC.
