Get the Everlight Proper Demo off WP [German] (820mb)
Melvin enters a weird candle shop. Mr. Teeth, its quizzical owner, sends him on a magic journey to learn wizardry and defeat his fears.
One flick of the wrist later Melvin finds himself in a medieval town. The first thing he does is to help elf Fenny escape from a cage. During the following adventure Fenny stays at Melvin’s side as his spiritual leader. She is supposed to assist him on his quest, yet most of the time she just drives him mad with her pointed remarks.
Melvin soon realizes that the inhabitants of the medieval town suffer from a curse. During the night they act out their most bizarre and objectionable fantasies, but are unable to remember their antics on the following day. Now it is Melvin’s task to relieve the town from its curse. At the same time he has to prove that he can overcome his own fears.
Melvin tries to get to the bottom of the problem and discovers a dark secret in the town’s history. A time machine would come in handy to find out what really happened – but in a magic town like this even that can be accomplished. Together with a librarian, who changes into a mad inventor every night, Melvin sets out to construct such a machine. Of course things do not run as smoothly as expected and Melvin has to put some real effort into the machine to make it work.
Then perky Laura crosses his path and he falls madly in love with her. Laura has better things to do than to give attention to shy Melvin. There is no other choice for Melvin but to try very hard and drum up her enthusiasm with an abundant midnight picnic. Needless to say that Melvin sweats blood and tears and nearly messes things up.
And this is just the beginning of the adventure. Melvin has to cope with vitriolic caretakers, touristically developed hermits, lecherous spinsters and other strange creatures before being able to hop on his time machine. Along the way he also needs to face his fears. And what he finally figures out in the past of the town leaves him speechless ...
