Alvin and the Chipmunks will make their interactive debut this holiday with Alvin and the Chipmunks, the video game. The Chipmunk Song, which will be included in the game, is a pop culture staple so beloved that it has been included in The Sopranos, Almost Famous, The Ellen Degeneres Show, King of Queens, Ally McBeal, Friends, Nip/Tuck, Boston Legal and Ugly Betty. Timed to ship around the release of the exciting new live action film, Alvin and the Chipmunks, from 20th Century Fox, the video game focuses on the Chipmunks musical abilities while expanding on the films storyline.
The Alvin and the Chipmunks video game follows Alvin, Simon, & Theodore on their latest mission to play during the battle of the bands event "Rockathonapalooza." As the Chipmunks perform in each of the video game's musical levels from school proms to Burning Man to Forest Arenas to the ultimate, Rockathonapalooza, players are challenged to keep in rhythm with the music. The combination of fun game play, a cool soundtrack and everyone's favorite Chipmunks, creates another way for the fans of Alvin, new and old, to enjoy and expand on their movie experience.

Lee stars in and co-produces the hit television comedy series, "My Name is Earl" currently in its third season on NBC. His role as 'Earl Hickey' has earned him numerous best actor nominations including a Golden Globe, SAG Award, Teen Choice Award and Kids' Choice Award. He worked with writer-director Cameron Crowe in both Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky, and starred in such classic hit movies as Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks II. Lee won an Independent Spirit Award for his role in Chasing Amy. Hailing from Southern California, Lee is an avid gamer and former professional skateboarder.
"I was flattered to have gotten the offer to play Dave Seville in the film and video game. It's Alvin and the Chipmunks, it's a classic ... and it's a role that I have never played," said Jason Lee. "I was able to go from Earl to not having to wear the mustache, to looking much different and just being in something that my kid is going to love, a game I can enjoy playing with him."
The videogame soundtrack will resonate with parents and kids alike, and provide hours of family fun and cool music, while introducing a new generation of kids to one of the greatest selling musical acts of all time.
