Konami Assistant Producer Ryan Payton claims Metal Gear Solid 4 needs to sell over a million copies on the first day it goes on sale in order to recoup its costly production, but that MGS 4 might be last in a dying breed on console exclusives. Cost for triple A next-gen titles range between $10-$50 million, so publishers are increasingly going multi-platform to make sure they at least break even. ony currently has 15 internal development studios, more than Microsoft and Nintendo combined.

by Rainier on Nov. 29, 2007 @ 1:33 p.m. PST
MGS4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a war-torn future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries.
