Smallville Actress to Play Street Fighter's Chun-Li

Kristin Kreuk, known as Lana Lang in the CW's "Smallville" TV series, has been selected to play Chun-Li as she embarks on a quest for justice, in the upcoming movie adaptation of Capcom's Street Fighter. Filming will commence in Thailand next March (scheduled for a 2009 release), and it will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, who has recently at the helm of the game-to-movie adaptation of id software's DOOM (starring The Rock), Exit Wounds and Romeo Must Die.
