“This is our first step to substantial growth within the PC games market,” said Neil Cotton, Publishing Director at D2D. “I’ve always admired the drive and passion of indie game studios to create highly enjoyable entertainment software. As keen gamers ourselves, we’re delighted at the prospects of working closely on all game development aspects with the guys at StarFish, but have vowed not to limit their creativity. They are a fun crowd to know and I’m sure that light and easy going attitude will positively reflect in all the games they design.”
Through an initial meeting a decision was made to take the fledgling studio and bring it into the growing D2D group. Concluding, Cotton said: “We hope that we’ll be in a position to release details of the first few games over the next few weeks.”
The studio has pledged to release 19 new PC titles across Q2 and Q3 2007 with RRP’s ranging from £9.99 to £1.99.
