About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

by Judy on July 2, 2007 @ 10:33 a.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)

  • We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is attacking its way onto store shelves everywhere only on the PlayStation 3. Ryu Hayabusa is back at it with even more decapitations, jump kicks, and slice-n-dice action in over 50 missions and 19 Chapters. Compete against the rest of the world and upload your Karma scores and stats to the leaderboards on the PlayStation Network.

Featuring more ninja content than ever, Sigma offers new weapons and combos, new enemies and bosses, new stages and missions, and for the first time ever Rachel the Fiend Hunter as a playable character all in the beautifully crisp 1080p resolution. This new incarnation in the Ninja Gaiden series will reawaken your desire to grab a katana and become a Master Ninja.

"Ninja Gaiden Sigma is the game we've been waiting for since the rebirth of the franchise. Complete with HD graphics, lightning-fast gameplay, and a more robust storyline, Sigma is the definitive version of Ninja Gaiden to own," says Yoh Watanabe, Marketing Manager. "Gamers returning to the series will enjoy Sigma just as much as those new to the world of Ninja Gaiden."

The Ninja Gaiden Sigma Collector's Edition comes with additional content including a secret code to access unlockable missions and the Team NINJA documentary, "Behind the Sword," which gives an in-depth look at the lifestyle of key development staff during the final days of the Sigma production process.
