by Rainier on Sept. 26, 2007 @ 5:44 a.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Hot Wheels: Beat That! (NDS/PS2/Wii/X360/PC)

Players will utilize a blazing combination of precision driving skills and breakneck speed to defeat all opponents in the ultimate racing experience. With 30 authentic Hot Wheels® cars and 12 unique racing environments, players can test their skills in non-stop high-octane action and challenge their friends to "Beat That!"

"Hot Wheels: Beat That! thrusts racers into an action-packed, adrenaline-pumping racing experience that leaves their pulses pounding at every turn," said David Oxford, Activision Publishing, Inc. "With the game's fun and diverse multiplayer modes, players will have a blast challenging one another in blistering races and intense competitions to find out who is the most skilled racer of them all."

Hot Wheels: Beat That! delivers the cars, the tracks and the arsenal to create an extreme racing experience for gamers. In 12 unique environments and 4 battle arenas, racers go head to head with authentic cars, powerful weapons and interactive power-ups to compete in high-octane contests of skill and bravado. The asphalt is their canvas as gamers choose their car, grab the wheel and let her rip, and then challenge their friends to "Beat That!"

Hot Wheels: Beat That!, rated "E" (Everyone), is available now on the Xbox 360 and Wii for a suggested retail price of $49.99, the PS2 for $39.99, and the NDS and PC for $29.99.

Soul Nomad (PS2)

The game play for Soul Nomad is strategic and in-depth. Retaining the classic SRPG-style army building, Soul Nomad differentiates itself among others by adopting a massive team battle system. Players will essentially build many teams of army units and applying special team abilities. Players must strategically adjust their team setup magic casting according to the enemy they face. Simply put, building an army of units will not work too well in Soul Nomad. Even for those new to SRPG, Soul Nomad offers a user friendly tutorial system that guides you through, step by step, explaining in detail how to play an SRPG. Also, Soul Nomad offers a very over the top demonic yet goofy story, along with stunning 2D art.

Key Features

  • Soul Nomad Battle System – Create teams of army units and apply abilities. There are up to 40 different team abilities and 50 different unit classes to choose from.
  • Bird’s Eye View Battle Map – A 3D battle map allows easy access to your battle units.
  • DO anything you want– You can steal, destroy, and even kidnap innocent villagers. See how it feels like to be evil!
  • Stunning 2D Visuals – Prepare to be stunned by the animated “artwork” both in and out of the battles of Soul Nomad.

With a new, in-depth battle system and unique 2D game play, Soul Nomad shines out as a force to be reckoned within the SRPG genre.
