'Moscow Racer' - Screens

by Rainier on July 3, 2008 @ 5:20 p.m. PDT

Moscow Racer will offer you to experience realistic car handling and mechanics, choose from a wide variety of tracks and get an in-depth look at well-known Moscow streets featuring compelling gameplay and breathtaking visuals, so gear up for exploring the Russian capital in fast-paced and maneuverable vehicles.

Created in cooperation with the Moscow underground street racing clubs, Moscow Racer combines features of a car simulator and perfectly accurate models of the most famous streets in Moscow. It is so exciting when you mess with trucks on the road, which are so similar to the real thing. It is even more impressive when you know that the game gives you the experience you could feel in real life... but in a more dangerous way.

One of the key components of the Moscow Racer is the road traffic. Its intensity depends on the time of a day.

Just like in real life Moscow, the streets are filled with not only cars, but also with lots of SUVs, heavy trucks and government vehicles. The latter drive mostly at high speed and in the wrong lane...

The game features a realistic physical model due in part to the nVidia/Ageia PhysiX technology, making a more vivid impression. Drifting in turns is one of the most startling and difficult parts of true street racing; and it is one of the most thrilling parts of Moscow Racer itself. What is more, a realistic cockpit view with advanced camera animation provides a particularly good feeling of speed.

16 tracks of the game, situated in the 5 most famous areas of Moscow, were created by using over 20,000 photos, satellite pictures and actual city blueprints; it took thousands of hours of production time. When you drive near the Kremlin, you can be sure that in real life it’s exactly as it is in the game. So you can learn certain areas of Moscow city... in the same way that Russian street racers do.

Key features:

  • 16 tracks of the most famous Moscow areas
  • Ability to short-cut road sections and drive on pedestrian and side roads, in parks, through tunnels, on bridges
  • Championship mode in Formula-1 style with multiple races and point system
  • 10 vehicles of three classes: business sedans, sportcars and supercars
  • Several modes - Championshp, Single Racer, Cruise and Time Trial
  • Super flexible graphics settings provided by the Intelligent LOD (Level Of Detail) algorithm developed by IRS Games

Developed by IRS Games, Moscow Racer will offer the gamer the experience of realistic car handling and mechanics.
