Helix is one of the most innovative music rhythm games ever designed. Using the Wii Remote motion sensing, you perform hand motions to the beat of the music. The game is a truly amazing experience and gives you a great upper body cardiovascular workout.

Use the Wii Remotes to do over 30 exciting moves, including punches, circles, backfists, hooks, and more. Be mesmerized by the eye-popping background visuals, which pulse to the beat of the music.

There are dozens of songs to play. Songs come in 3 difficulties - easy, medium, and hard. As you complete songs, new ones are unlocked. Try to unlock all of the songs!

The music in Helix was hand picked from thousands of potential tracks. In the end we found the best 26 tracks from independent musicians across the United States and Europe. Some of our artists are well known and have made a name for themselves already, while others are artists producing music just for the sake of making music. If you enjoy the music you've heard in our game, please support the artists as well!

Ed Roman, CEO of Ghostfire Games, had the following to say: “We’re extremely excited to release Helix to the general public. Its one of the most innovative music rhythm games ever designed. You use the Wii Remote controllers to do over 30 upper body moves while listening to fast-paced music. You do all this while the backgrounds (and the Wii Remote controllers) pulse to the beat.”

“Helix is not only fun, it’s a great workout. You can really burn some calories playing this game. You tend to lose yourself playing the game and forget that you’re even getting a workout, because the gameplay is compelling.”

“We listened to thousands of songs and narrowed it down to the 26 you find in this game. These 26 tracks are amazing and come from independent musicians that you won’t find elsewhere. It’s the type of music you want to hear over and over again because it’s so good. We’ve included over 26 songs to play, so the replay value is absolutely incredible for 1000 Wii Points"

The game uses two Wii Remotes, as the nunchuk cable is not long enough to express most of the moves in the game without snapping the cord. There is a one Wii Remote mode, whichever hand the player is not using, he/she will automatically be given credit for that hand.

While Helix does not offer a dedicated multiplayer mode, therer is an alternative co-op mode where each player will hold one Wii remote and be responsible for one hand of the robot.

Ghostfire Games' Helix will be released Monday August 25th, 2008 on WiiWare.
