Metal Gear Solid 4 producer Ryan Payton announced that he is leaving Kojima Productions and revealed that "It'll be hard not being involved in MGS5, but I've got the utmost confidence that Hideo Kojima, Ken Imaizumi, and our amazing team will put together another blockbuster game." MGS Hideo Kojima expressed his frustration about people continually asking about MGS 4 coming to Xbox 360, saying that since it is optimized for PS3, it probably won't be possible.

MGS4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a war-torn future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. This battle-scarred arena is seen through the eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East and South America.
