'Runaway 2: the Dream of the Turtle' (NDS/Wii) Hitting Europe in November

by Rainier on Sept. 17, 2008 @ 6:33 a.m. PDT

Pendulo Studios is working on a followup to last year's hit title Runaway: A Road Adventure, an adventure game with 3D characters with a cartoon look and high-impact visual features that include 2D and 3D in an unmatchable style.

Brian Basco, a former science student, and his girlfriend, Gina Timmins, are enjoying a relaxing holiday in Hawaii. On a visit to Tiki Falls their plane crashes into the jungle, leaving them uninjured but separated. As they desperately try to find each other their thrilling adventures begin. Travelling to the four corners of the globe, they come face to face with soldiers, pirates, spies, surfers and even aliens.

Stunning graphics, mind bending puzzles, bamboozling riddles, great humour and a superb soundtrack are all on offer to players as they help Brian on his quest to find Gina. Over one hundred different exotic locations, including the ruins of The Temple of Tiki, the beautiful Luana Beach and the cascading Tiki waterfalls, provide the backdrop for this truly unique adventure.

On Nintendo Wii

Players can use the Wii Remote to enjoy Point & Click gameplay, exploring the 100 different humorous and vibrant locations. Unique 3D and 2D graphics and animated sequences bring the game to life, enhancing the interaction between the player and the world of Runaway, The Dream of the Turtle. The interactive help section on the Wii also provides a useful new feature to assist with more difficult puzzles.

On Nintendo DS

The DS version of Runaway, The Dream of the Turtle features detailed environments for the player to explore using the stylus, such as tropical jungles and arctic wastelands. An intuitive zoom system offers excellent visibility when exploring these settings, so players can truly immerse themselves in the vivid surroundings. The DS double-screen and optimised navigation system allows players to switch from the inventory to the game screen at any time, while an integrated help system assists the player to solve the most difficult puzzles.

Runaway, The Dream of the Turtle is due for release on Wii and NDS in November 2008 by Ascaron and Focus Home Interactive.
