In Divinity II: Ego Draconis, players find themselves once again in Rivellon, a timeless world full of awe and magic, shattered and frightened by the apocalyptic wars of the past. No one knows why so many people had to give their lives. Everything seems to be over, but the peace was deceptive, for the demon has returned and the horror once again runs its course.

In Divinity II: Ego Draconis, the player begins his adventure as an apprentice Dragon Slayer. After a bizarre twist of fate, he will be able to shape-shift into a Dragon. The Dragon Slayer becomes a mighty Dragon Knight, the very creature he is supposed to chase! This puts the player at odds with his former brothers in arms, and indeed with most of the population.

The unique ability to transform into a fire breathing dragon at will, allows the player to glide over vast landscapes, enjoy the panoramic view, and cover long distances quickly. Furthermore, this rare gift not only introduces a tactical angle, but also vastly enriches gameplay with challenging fire fights against other flying creatures, and air to ground combat.

Divinity 2: Ego Draconis takes the player back to Rivellon, more than half a century after the Divine came to power. Much has happened there since, but the death of the Divine –the hero of the previous game– is undoubtedly the greatest tragedy. He was slain by a Dragon Knight during a battle with Damian, Rivellon’s arch nemesis. The Divine’s paladins swore revenge and so the order of the Dragon Slayers came to be.

Rivellon, the beautiful but war torn world first explored in Divinity 2’s award winning predecessor, features many areas and labyrinths for the player to explore freely. This world is the home of plenty of non-player characters, offering a multitude of quests and storylines, or just the latest gossip. Because of the branched quest system, the player’s decisions can have long reaching consequences.

The world of Divinity 2: Ego Draconis is filled with humans and fantasy creatures, each having special combat abilities. Players will need to use every skill, potion and hidden trick to their strategic advantage to reclaim the lands of Rivellon. The player is set on an unexpected quest that will unveil hidden truths, reveal old evils and shall have grave implications on the whole of Rivellon.
