'Hasbro Family Game Night' This Week's XBLA Title

The Hasbro Family Game Night lineup will take full advantage of Xbox Live community features such as online play, Achievements, the ability to launch new games without leaving the environment, and sharing customized space with friends.

EA is gearing up to inject nostalgic fun into the Xbox Live Arcade by bringing perennial board game favorites to the popular platform.

EA and Hasbro will stock Xbox Live Arcade with Hasbro Family Game Night, a crowd pleasing assortment of games that are instantly recognisable household names such as Boggle, Battleship, Yahtzee, Connect Four, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders. All games will feature both original and new ways to play, including a Party Mode that features multiple mini-game versions of each title. Additional customisation features will allow players to earn virtual trophies, furniture and themes to decorate their personal virtual game rooms. The Hasbro Family Game Night lineup will take full advantage of Xbox Live community features such as online play, Achievements, the ability to launch new games without leaving the environment, and sharing customized space with friends.

Dust off your dictionary and get ready for the release of Scrabble, set to launch next month on Xbox Live Arcade! Featuring the Scrabble Diamond Anniversary Edition game board, the XBLA version of Scrabble gives board game lovers yet another way to play everyone’s favorite word game.

Play original Yahtzee or new versions such as “Block Out” where you can steal the category from your opponent by getting a higher score.

Roll the dice in style by choosing and customizing the game room you want to play in—whether it’s in the middle of a tropical jungle treehouse, a secret agent’s headquarters or somewhere in between, you can choose exactly where you’d like to challenge friends and family to some classic board game fun.
