The Enterprise license obtained by Ubisoft provides for usage of Rendez-Vous, Net-Z and Spark! across Ubisoft’s titles. Ubisoft has also signed a long-term services and consulting agreement with Quazal to provide assistance from dedicated engineers with integration and feature development.
“Online features and the development platform on which to build them are becoming the foundation of alternate monetization strategies for publishers,” said Sylvain Beaudry, CEO at Quazal. “In standardizing on Quazal’s proven solutions, Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest and most successful game publishers, has demonstrated that the maturity of Net-Z, Rendez-Vous and Spark!, in conjunction with our extensive consulting capabilities, represents a natural winner when selecting an online technology provider.”
This is the second deal of strategic importance to a publisher that Quazal has closed in the last year.
“Cutting-edge multiplayer experiences are increasingly important to successful games,” said Christine Burgess-QuĂ©mard, executive director of worldwide studios at Ubisoft. “By securing this Enterprise deal, Ubisoft is positioning itself to be at the forefront of the next generation of online enabled titles.”
