'Diner Dash' (Wii/PS3/X360) - New Screens

by Rainier on March 26, 2009 @ 12:33 a.m. PDT

Based on PlayFirst's highly successful PC game, Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve puts the power of customer satisfaction in your hands as you run your very own restaurant. Do whatever it takes to keep your customers happy and your tips high! Plus for the first time ever, play against a friend in 3 different multi-player modes!

As in the classic action-strategy game, players will take control of Flo, a waitress building a run-down diner into a success, one customer at a time. The Diner Dash series, licensed by Hudson from PlayFirst, Inc., has sold more than 2 million units worldwide and has won multiple awards, including an IGN Editors’ Choice Award, a GameSpot Editors’ Choice, and a Zeeby.

“We’re delighted to bring Flo and Diner Dash to new gen consoles for the first time,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “Players have fallen in love with the award-winning series because of its quirky characters and fast-paced fun.”

Diner Dash will come to life in 3D on new generation consoles when players have the option to take direct control of Flo as she runs around to seat patrons, take orders, deliver food, take payment and bus tables as efficiently as possible within the time limit allowed. Players fond of the traditional control schemes may also use a point-and-click style with hotkeys to aid Flo in her quest for customer satisfaction, which is reflected in a heart meter that empties as customers lose patience. If the meter empties completely, then the customer will leave the restaurant. Servers looking to play with co-workers can join with up to seven other players in multiplayer across four diners in Team Dash or go 1 on 1 in Head to Head mode.

Diner Dash will be available for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare this Summer.
