X-Men Origins: Wolverine (NDS/PSP/PS2/Wii/PS3/X360/PC)
Developed by Raven Software, the game allows players to harness Wolverine’s brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities, and indestructible adamantium claws as they battle powerful forces and uncover the mysteries behind his origin. Inspired by the feature film from Twentieth Century Fox released in theaters everywhere on the same date, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game also features the voices of some of the film’s leading men: Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) and will.i.am (John Wraith).

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an epic action-adventure game featuring a true-to-character Wolverine gameplay experience that takes gamers through and beyond the movie’s storyline. Set in a variety of vivid real-world locales, the title challenges players to hone their animal instinct as they uncover hidden dangers, hunt and defeat enemies, and take on seemingly insurmountable situations while discovering the truth about Wolverine’s tragic past. With razor-sharp adamantium claws unsheathed, the future X-Man enacts lightning-quick combat, evasive maneuvers, in-depth combo attacks, and an array of brutal finishing moves. Wolverine doesn’t just deliver massive damage, either – he also takes it, thanks to his mutant regenerative power that heals him in real time right before the player’s eyes.
Developed by Raven Studios, X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition is available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Also available now are unique versions of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game, developed by Amaze and rated “T” (for Teen), on PS2, PSP and Wii, and E10+ on the NDS.
Case Closed: One Truth Prevails (Wii)
Case Closed: One Truth Prevails is a new anime/manga style police investigation game for the Wii. Providing challenging puzzles and hours of entertaining gameplay for a young audience, Case Closed: One Truth Prevails is packed with mini games and spy gadgets, including a solar powered skateboard and a voice changing bow tie.
In Case Closed: One Truth Prevails the lead character is 17 year old Shichi Kudo, a very intuitive high school detective, well known in Japan as a modern day Sherlock Holmes. Shichi is on a mission to infiltrate a secret group known as the ‘Black Organisation’ when he is drugged with a poison that was meant to kill him, but instead transforms him into a seven year old boy. In his new body, Shichi adopts the alias Conan Edogawa and pretends to be a child whilst continuing to secretly solve cases.
Players guide Conan on his quest to find clues about the origins and workings of the secret ‘Black Organisation’ in order to bring the biggest criminal of the time to justice.
The Wii remote is used to move the young detective and touch or manipulate objects. It can also be used as a magnifying glass when players lead Conan undercover to investigate crime scenes and search for clues.
Offering fun and challenges for a young audience, Case Closed: One Truth Prevails is released on Wii today by Nobilis and Ascaron Entertainment.
Women’s Murder Club: Death in Scarlet (PC)
Women’s Murder Club: Death in Scarlet is a thrilling new crime adventure game, released to retail today. Avanquest Software Publishing brings the excitement and suspense of the best-selling James Patterson novels to the PC in this engaging and interactive mystery combining hidden objects, light adventure and crime solving puzzle games.
The story begins when the body of a murdered woman washes up underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. In order to solve the murderous crimes, gamers must choose one of the three main characters to play as; homicide detective Lindsay Boxer; medical examiner Claire Washburn; or crime reporter Cindy Thomas. Players must scour the city for clues, scrutinise murder scenes and complete laboratory work in order to progress through the enigmatic storyline and untangle a web of ancient culture, corruption and greed.
In Women’s Murder Club: Death in Scarlet, mystery fans will need their investigative skills to identify victims, examine evidence and interrogate suspects as they dig further into the killer’s mind. Players must use their contacts to cross examine and decipher each victim’s story in order to stop the ruthless killer before the time runs out and another victim dies.
Women’s Murder Club: Death in Scarlet features a compelling storyline written by James Patterson himself, combined with a unique blend of adventure and puzzle gameplay. Players can explore 18 beautiful settings throughout San Francisco whilst solving nine challenging investigations. Clues can be collected in the various hidden object levels to aid the solving of over 90 puzzles that are critical to the case.

Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches (PC)
Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches, a game based on the gripping tales of the Mabinogion, a collection of stories from medieval Welsh manuscripts, is deep rooted in Celtic mythology and follows the present day haunting of a lonely teenage girl named Rhiannon, as she unwillingly enters a world filled with supernatural phenomena, magic, and legend.
Arberth's co-founder Noel Bruton comments "We're very excited about this opportunity. It means that 'Rhiannon' is now available anywhere with a good Internet link, which opens it up even to territories where we don't yet have direct publishing arrangements. It can put 'Rhiannon' in the hands of more players, which is why we wrote it - to get it played. It's a great alternative route to market for the smaller independents like ourselves."
However, it is not just the increased and immediate product distribution that drew Arberth to Gamersgate, but the flexibility and quality of the facility.
