MX vs. ATV Reflex introduces revolutionary physics that allow for real-world terrain deformation and an intuitive, dual-stick control scheme that separates man from machine, as well as a wide variety of race modes, vehicles and worlds to explore while utilizing the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine.

Developed by THQ’s award-winning internal studio Rainbow Studios, MX vs. ATV Reflex introduces revolutionary physics that allow for real-world terrain deformation and an intuitive, dual-stick control scheme that separates man from machine. MX vs. ATV Reflex will deliver a wide variety of race modes, vehicles and worlds to explore while utilizing the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine.

“The MX vs. ATV franchise consistently sets the bar for excellence in the racing genre, offering gamers, racing fans and mainstream consumers an immense variety of content and cutting-edge physics,” said Brian Coleman, vice president of global brand management, THQ. “MX vs. ATV Reflex takes the core elements of the franchise to the next level.”

“Rhythm Racing 2.0 is the most advanced physics engine Rainbow Studios has ever created, and is an all-inclusive framework that characterizes the essence of MX vs. ATV Reflex,” said Nick Wlodyka, general manager, Rainbow Studios. “We’ve combined the fluid Rider Reflex control system with ever-changing, real-time terrain deformation to create an experience that will immerse gamers in the rhythm of a race like never before.”

MX vs. ATV Reflex marks the highly anticipated return of the best-selling off-road racing franchise and features the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine, Rider Reflex control system and real-time terrain deformation. The Rider Reflex control system provides unparalleled precision and fluidity by separating machine steering from body positioning, which allows the independently controlled rider to shift his weight, perform death-defying stunts and avoid potentially devastating wrecks. Unprecedented terrain deformation creates ever-changing courses as off-road vehicles carve lines and deep ruts that have a real-time impact on gameplay and remain persistent through the full length of each race.

MX vs. ATV Reflex is scheduled to release on the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and NDS in Holiday 2009.
