Developed by THQ’s internal studio Rainbow Studios, MX vs. ATV Reflex introduces revolutionary physics that allow for real-world terrain deformation and an intuitive, dual-stick control scheme that separates man from machine. MX vs. ATV Reflex will deliver a wide variety of race modes, vehicles and worlds to explore while utilizing the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine.

MX vs. ATV Reflex marks the highly anticipated return of the best-selling off-road racing franchise and features the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine, Rider Reflex control system and real-time terrain deformation. The Rider Reflex control system provides unparalleled precision and fluidity by separating machine steering from body positioning, which allows the independently controlled rider to shift his weight, perform death-defying stunts and avoid potentially devastating wrecks. Unprecedented terrain deformation creates ever-changing courses as off-road vehicles carve lines and deep ruts that have a real-time impact on gameplay and remain persistent through the full length of each race.

Motocross champion James “Bubba” Stewart will be sponsored by THQ during ESPN’s X Games 15 from July 30 to August 2, and will appear as a featured rider in the upcoming MX vs. ATV Reflex video game. THQ’s sponsorship of James Stewart coincides with his highly anticipated, inaugural appearance in the X Games, where he will be competing in the Best Whip, Super X and Supermoto events.

“The MX vs. ATV series has always delivered the ultimate motocross experience, and the latest title is definitely dialed in,” said James Stewart. “It’s a pleasure to be included as a playable rider in MX vs. ATV Reflex, and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the game when it comes out this Holiday season.”

Fans will have the opportunity to play MX vs. ATV Reflex as James Stewart, and other top riders in professional motocross, throughout a wide variety of races and competitions.

James Stewart Jr., known as James “Bubba” Stewart, is a professional motocross racer and the first African-American to dominate in the sport. After racking up a record-breaking 11 American Motorcyclist Association Amateur National titles, James Stewart was named Rookie of the Year in his debut pro season in 2002. Two years later, he won both the AMA 125 East Supercross Championship and the AMA 125 Motocross National Championship. In 2007, Stewart won his first AMA Supercross Championship, and in 2008, he became the second rider in history after Ricky Carmichael to complete a perfect motocross season – 24 wins in 24 races. He capped off this perfect season with the 2008 AMA Speed Athlete of the Year award. On May 2, 2009, Stewart won his second AMA Supercross Championship.
