Idoru and Impressionware have been developing games for more than 8 years for various platforms releasing so far more than 25 games (not counting 45 mobile games). The new company structure allows the team to share technology and work together on the development of more SKUs simultaneously.
Double Jungle, operating from two offices in the north of Italy, one in Padova and one in Torino, will focus on three main areas: publishing, development of own projects and work for hire.
Paolo Giacomello, Idoru’s Managing Director and Double Jungle CEO, said: “We are proud to announce the Double Jungle new venture project. As Idoru we were used to act as publisher in various countries for our products, with Double Jungle, with our partner Impressionware ... we’ll “double”. Double Jungle’s teams are already working on various third party and self funded projects, based on our own and third party IPs.”
The first Double Jungle games, for console and PCs, will be released at the end of the year and new announcements are coming soon.
Luigi Fumero, Impressionware’s Managing Director and Double Jungle’s COO, added: “We have been working with Idoru’s team for a while now and it was the logical step to formalise our will to keep on working together. Double Jungle makes both our companies much stronger and you will see a lot of good things coming out of this partnership.”
Double Jungle will be attending the gamescom in Köln where it is keen to talk to potential partners about future projects.
