Vempire (Vampire + Empire) is a casual puzzle game with added strategy. It is more than a classic “match three” type of game. The player will be able to collect artifacts, summon minions and collect powers to be used during the levels. Strategy will be required to tackle the various different levels and the monsters the player will challenge to become king of the monster empire. Vempire is an original title and has not been released on any other platforms before.

Luigi Fumero, Impressionware’s managing director and Vempire designer, said: “We are pretty excited to have a title launched with the new Sony’s channel. Vempire has been one of those titles that we have been thinking about and have been working on for a long time before deciding it was a perfect match for the PSP minis download service. Seeing the game being played by kids at the Sony’s booth at the GamesCom last week has been a very high point of our careers. ”

Impressionware has lately joined forces with another fellow Italian developer, Idoru, to form a new games developer and publisher called Double Jungle. More news about the first results of this joint effort will be released soon.

Vempire is part of the new PSP Minis initiative, and will be an October 1, 2009 launch title.
