'Rooms: The Main Building' (ALL) Shows Off New York Location - New Screens

by Rainier on Jan. 25, 2010 @ 11:04 a.m. PST

In Rooms: The Main Building, an invitation arrives at the character's doorstep and unknowingly diverts them to an alternate world where players use extraordinary items and devices to navigate through a variety of rooms and buildings. To enter the next room, players must carefully shift rooms around in a manner similar to slide puzzles.

An invitation that abruptly arrives at your doorstep has unknowingly diverted you to an entrance of a world filled with mystic beauty. Getting there is the easy part, coming home will be the adventure.  In that world, you will need to reach the exit by sliding the rooms in the same way as a slide puzzle, forcing you to use all of your ingenuity in your escape. At the same time you, as the player, must use fantastical devices to navigate through each of these rooms.  But don’t worry! You will have a guide that goes by the name of Mr. Book, who will take you around the worlds, showing you how to move rooms and use gimmicks in your flight from “Rooms: The Main Building”.

Mansion 2 takes Rooms: The Main Building players across the pond from Mansion 1 in London and represents more challenging gameplay as puzzles become harder and players must take a more advanced approach to the tasks at hand. Diligence and smart gameplay is rewarded, because Mansion 3 is not far behind…
