A 16-year veteran of the video game industry, Black has worked on an impressive variety of best-selling video game properties, including the award-winning, first-person shooter (FPS) Black, and its highly anticipated, spiritual successor, Bodycount.
“We continue our strategic expansion of resources and capabilities and are excited to have Stuart lead our new product development team,” said Marek Tyminski, CEO of City Interactive. “Having recently secured licensing agreements with some of the most advanced video game engines currently available, there was an obvious need to smartly implement them and with Stuart’s development experience and vision, we feel we have the right person to do so.”
Adds Black: "With the creation of a boutique design studio in Guildford, City Interactive is making a commitment to quality and innovation, focused on the creation of an exciting new story-driven WW2 shooter that will emphasize high adventure in a genre that's become bogged down in reverence and historical accuracy."
Thoroughly familiar with all aspects of video game development across numerous platforms, Black has held a variety of top development posts at some of the most renowned publishers and innovative development studios, most recently as Creative Director for Codemasters. Other positions included Lead Designer at The Creative Assembly, as well as Senior Designer at Criterion Games.
