'A World of Keflings' (XBLA) Will Let You Bring Avatar Props In-Game

A World of Keflings is a city-building game featuring tiny, obnoxiously cute characters called Keflings who need help building their kingdoms.

A World of Keflings is the bigger, more complete chronicle of the Kefling world where players can play as their Xbox LIVE avatar and explore and build in the different Kefling lands. Each new kingdom has its own climate and Kefling culture. In addition, each kingdom contains its own unique resources, buildings and tech tree.

One of the most asked-for features included in the Keflings sequel is a new, dynamic, split-screen local multiplayer mode. Players will be able to build an entire world for the Keflings together with their spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, kids, friends or whomever on the same console.

In November 2008 A Kingdom for Keflings became the first title on the Xbox 360 to allow gamers to bring their avatar into a game as a fully playable character. Following suit, NinjaBee announced that the Keflings sequel, A World of Keflings, will become the first game to allow players bring their avatar's props into the game world.

"People put a lot of work into their avatars," said NinjaBee president Steve Taylor. "A Kingdom for Keflings is already a great place for that work to pay off, but A World of Keflings has even more extensive avatar support. One of the coolest examples being the ability to see players' props in the game."

"Bringing avatar props into the game just made sense," said Brent Fox, Art Director at NinjaBee. "Much like A Kingdom for Keflings, A World of Keflings is a game that emphasizes the player's choice to customize. You design the Kefling world the way you want and you design your avatar however you choose. "

While avatar props may appear when the player wishes, the props will not receive additional functionality and will only animate as currently visible in the Avatar Marketplace.

"A World of Keflings has so much more than the first Keflings game, it's a whole new game," Fox said. "Unlike the first Keflings game, A World of Keflings is very story-driven. You'll meet a Kefling pirate, a witch, a princess and an inventor just to name a few. You'll travel between exotic Kelfing lands, assemble a robot and build an airship. And that's barely scratching the surface."
