'Digimon Battle' Update Its Guild System

by Rainier on Aug. 26, 2010 @ 9:15 a.m. PDT

Good Digimon need humans to help defend the earth and the Digital World from evil Digimon. Do you have what it takes to become the best Tamer and be declared a hero among the Digimon?

The story of Digimon Battle is based on the original animated TV Series, Seasons 1 - 4 (“Digimon Adventure,” “Digimon Adventure 02,” “Digimon Tamers” and “Digimon Frontier”). The classic anime characters are brought to life in the online game as players select a Tamer character, either Takato Matsuki, Henry Wong, Rika Nonaka, or Jeri Katou, and set off with their Digimon and human friends, using the Digivolution system to help their Digimon companions grown stronger. There are three types of Digimon Partners and seven types of Captured Digimon for players to find and tame in the world. Players and their Digimon level up by winning battles, and players can progress from a Rookie Tamer to the powerful Brave Grade. During the open beta, only the Normal Digivolution system, where players strengthen their Digimon partners by leveling up, will be available. In addition, the maximum level will be limited to 50.

The first of several planned updates to the guild system, Digimon Battle tamers can now experience easier communication and cooperation among friends while creating a unique identity for the group within the virtual world.

Among the multitude of features introduced, tamers may now create or join guilds and chat among all members as they venture forth to level Digimon together. In addition, guild members can check to see the name, online status, level and rank of their friends, while guild Generals and Lieutenants manage membership and communicate with all members through an announcements feature.

“The tamers spoke and we listened. The first of many improvements, we’re pleased to offer players a guild system that enables them to group with friends and enjoy the Digimon Battle world together,” said Kevin Seo, CEO of WeMade. “Enhancing the community experience and player cooperation is one of our top priorities, and we look forward to releasing more free updates in the future.”

To experience the new update, log on to Digimon Battle and find a guild to join or start your own! To start a new guild, tamers must be level 71 or higher and pay 1 million BITS.
