'DanceDanceRevolution' (ALL) - New Screens

by Rainier on Feb. 1, 2011 @ 4:35 p.m. PST

DanceDanceRevolution combines the physically engaging, innovative and easy-to-pick-up-and-play mechanics of all DDR releases with all-new features and modes.

In DanceDanceRevolution for PS3, players will find the game offers much more than following the arrows with their feet.  In this iteration of DanceDanceRevolution, players will use both their hands and feet, via PlayStation Move and controller mat, providing the most rhythmic dancing yet! This feature makes for a truly interactive dance experience additionally, compatibility with the PlayStation Eye allows the player and their dance to appear on-screen. Players can bring their creativity to full potential by uploading the recorded dance video online and throughout social media networks. The recorded video can be uploaded on YouTube and Facebook through the Video Editor & Uploader of the PlayStation3 to share with their friends and other DanceDanceRevolution fans.

In the Wii version of DanceDanceRevolution, players can experience the new Choreograph Mode where you use the Mat Controller, Wii Remote, and Nunchuk simultaneously to mimic the movements of the characters on-screen. This mode will allow both beginners and experts to take their dancing skill to a new level. The traditional DanceDanceRevolution gameplay has evolved as well including the continued Wii Balance Board compatibility where you can workout effectively with your whole body using your waist, hands and legs. A new multi-player mode is implemented where four people can play simultaneously to make your living room even hotter!

DanceDanceRevolution on Xbox 360 features two new gameplay modes - Dance Off and Club Mode - both filled with non-stop dancing action. In Dance Off, up to four players can take to the dance mat, each taking turns, similar to a dance battle. The winner is the dancer who can step and dance accurately to the arrows. Special gimmicks await players to add for an extra level of challenge as well.

Club Mode is a feature designed for the more hardcore DanceDanceRevolution fan, allowing players to play four to 20 songs back-to-back with varying difficulty levels depending on how well they perform. If the player changes the options to non-stop, they can keep dancing, regardless of the Dance Gauge! The game also features a high-difficulty level - the Challenge Level - for the experienced player with diagonal arrows added to the standard up, down, right and left arrows.

DanceDanceRevolution for Xbox 360 will come fully equipped with the Visual Jockey, a feature which awards dancing pros with new on-screen graphics for a more engaging gameplay experience. Additionally, players can use their Xbox Live Vision camera to appear in-game and watch themselves dance on screen. In true DanceDanceRevolution fashion, the game boasts a vast song roster with 20 licensed tracks from some of today's hottest musicians, and more than 30 original songs by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.'s original artists. Players can also download new songs and add them to their playlist through Xbox Live.

This next iteration of DanceDanceRevolution boasts 50 tracks including 20 master tracks from some of today's biggest hits and memorable classics from the past.
