Although the game was originally scheduled for spring 2011, Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer revealed in a recent interview that working on the Xbox version of the first Torchlight has pushed back the development of the sequel to July. The good news is that certain optimizations and technical improvements that went into making the Xbox version have been implemented into Torchlight II.
Consistent with Runic Games' pledge to provide unmatched value, Torchlight II will be sold at a low price point, and include a free matchmaking service for peer-to-peer multiplayer experience.
