The9 Developing New MMORPG Using Vision Game Engine

by Rainier on Feb. 4, 2011 @ 4:53 a.m. PST

3D game engine provider Trinigy announced that China based developer The9 has chosen the Vision Game Engine to support the development of a new, not-yet-titled MMORPG game.

In 2010, Trinigy announced a number of new deals in the Asian market, particularly in Korea and China. This deal with The9 further solidifies the Vision Engine’s foothold in the Chinese market. The Vision Engine’s flexible architecture, extensive toolset, optimized Windows® performance, customizable streaming capabilities and local support were all key factors in The9’s selection of Trinigy’s development platform.

“As one of the premier developers and operators of online games in China, we have always provided our audience with games that are unsurpassed in quality and fun,” said Joanna Li, project manager at The9. “The Vision Engine gives us an incredibly flexible game engine technology with a multitude of high-end tools, integrations with leading technologies, and powerful real-time rendering. Not only does it give our developers more options than other engines; it guarantees that we can continue to provide game players with the visual quality, performance and gameplay they expect from us.”

“We’re very excited to be working with a game company as renowned as The9 on its upcoming title,” said Felix Roeken, general manager at Trinigy. “The deal is further proof to us that game developers in general, and the Asian market in particular, welcome game engines that allow them to develop games how they want with the tools they trust, as well as local support that includes extensive documentation, training, telephone, email and online support.”
