'Musiic Party: Rock the House' (Wii) Gets Euro Date - Screens

Musiic Party: Rock the House is a party game for the whole family. A unique comic look combined with a hefty dose of humor guarantees long-lasting fun, and in contrast to other music games, no additional peripheral devices are needed.

All wannabe rock stars can jam with their friends following the UK launch of Musiic Party: Rock the House without the need for additional peripherals. Featuring some of the greatest rock anthems and modern classics of all time, including Motorhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’ and Metro Station’s ‘Shake It’ you can strum the guitar or bass, or bang the drums by simply moving the Wii Remote & Nunchuk in time with the music. (And don’t worry lads; this is one wrist action your Mum can’t tell you off for...)

Musiic Party: Rock the House combines the popular rhythm motion game play, cartoon style graphics, pumping bass lines and slick riffs with the motion based functionality and simplicity of the Wii platform to create a frenetic and entertaining gaming experience. With two kick-ass multi-player game modes you can jam with your friends or take them on in a head-to-head battle. Dare to go solo? With the story mode you can rise to the challenge of becoming your very own rock legend.

Rob Noble, from UK distributor PQube, commented “Musiic Party simplifies how we play rhythm games. Armed with nothing more than your trusty Wii Remote & Nunchuk, you and your friends can rock your socks off to Blink 182’s ‘All The Small Things’, marking a fantastic addition to the music-party game genre.”

Sofas nationally are set to be taken over as we witness the return of our very own living room legends. Musiic Party: Rock the House is a rhythm action music game for the Nintendo Wii. The game opens up the rhythm genre to an entirely new audience using their existing equipment, the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, to take the role of Lead Guitar, Bass or Drums, allowing players to rock the night away with their friends.

Whether bass, guitar, or percussion – controls are always simple, comprehensible, and easy to learn. Musiic Party: Rock the House relies on the innovative motion control options of Nintendo’s Wii™, so that all actions are performed by moving the Wii Remote or Nunchuk – get ready to unleash your inner rock beast.

Rock gods of all ages are invited to rock out to some of the greatest rock anthems ever laid down. The game includes tracks spanning over five decades, from the swinging 60s to the early noughties. This range of music includes modern classics and legendary anthems for gamers of all ages to enjoy. 30 rock tracks offering a wide selection of music and ensuring there is something for everyone’s taste.

Key Features:

  • 30 Rock tracks from legendary anthems to modern classics, Including hits from Razorlight, Pink, The Trogs and The Clash
  • No expensive peripherals needed – just your Wii Remote & Nunchuk to play all instruments
  • Created for any age group with its easy controls and wide variety of songs
  • Simple to use control system means anyone can “pick up and play”, which guarantees entertainment for players of all ages; easy to play and fun for everyone
  • Three different player modes:
    • Multiplayer mode - Musiic Party: Rock the House is a true multiplayer party game, and comes into its own when played with friends and family.  The game includes two great multiplayer options for up to three people on the same machine, so you and your friends can feel like a real rock band. In the co-operative jam mode, up to three gamers can play the game simultaneously and experience that real rock band feeling.  Musiic Party really does Rock the House, as all three players work hard to reach your respective musical Nirvanas, hitting the right cords to achieve the ultimate rock accolades. Riders are unfortunately not included!
    • Head to Head - In the two player head to head mode, you must battle against each other across a series of mini games and Musiic challenges. With the songs alternating between the players, you’ll be judged on accuracy, timing as well as a sprinkling of star dust. The player with the highest score at the end of the track wins.
    • Single Player - The story mode sees gamers treading the hard road from roadie to rock superstar, as you and your new band move from gig to gig, improving along the way, unlocking new songs, mini games, outfits and instruments. You must play through a series of gigs starting at a small flea pit in Liberty City before finishing off at a massive concert hall in Hollywood.  Don’t just rest on your plectrum, as Musiic Party will challenge you to switch between the three instruments. After all, rock gods aren’t limited to just one instrument.

We advise you not to try crowd surfing though. Whilst air makes a fantastic guitar, it doesn’t make for a very good crowd!
