In May, developer PlayQ launched HotShot on Facebook which appears to be a straight-up copy of Peggle.

We reached out to PopCap for comment and received this official statement from spokesman Garth Chouteau: "I can certainly confirm it's not authorized... Beyond that, we're not commenting further at the moment."

Jeff Green, PopCap's social media director was a bit more direct when commenting on HotShot in his personal Twitter feed sarcastically observing the lifted elements with, "Those guys really should have just gone for it and called their game Puggle."
