'Disciples 3: Resurrection' Shows Off Its Leaders - Screens

Disciples 3: Resurrection is the large-scale sequel to the turn-based RPG strategy Disciples 3: Renaissance.

Disciples 3: Resurrection is a new landmark in the history of Nevendaar, when a new race ascends to power – the ruthless and merciless Undead Hordes. It is the story of selfless love and unfading glory. Heroes of the past, who had lost their lives, but not their sentience, are taking revenge in the name of Mortis, the Goddess of Death.

Tuug's story

Long ago the faraway land of Alkmaar, the domain of sorcerers, ceased to exist, and its inhabitants became the first and most loyal servants of Mortis against their own will. Distant memories of these events remained only in frightful legends, told by the commoners as the night is falling upon the land. Even now, these stories are inspiring fear in the hearts of the Nevendaarians. They fear the inevitable return of the living dead, for the southern sorcerers were skilled necromancers.

Death was always enticing the Alkmaarians with its mysteries, fascinated them with its power and inevitability, and that's why they had worshipped it. The Cult of Death, founded long before the fall of Alkmaar, supported the reverence and admiration for death in the common folk. During these distant times, when the sinister shadow of the mad goddess had not yet been cast over Alkmaar, they carefully kept the remnants of their late relatives, who were staying together with those dear to them even in the afterlife.

Little do the people of today's Nevendaar know of the long perished land, the fall of which caused the rise of a new race, likely the most frightening of them all. Even less do they know of the Cult of Death, and those still remembering, who was responsible for the deaths of Cult's enemies, can now be counted on the fingers of one hand. The Order of Tuugs, for example, is a name that makes little sense to most people at these times – and this was the Cult's chastising hand, the order of master assassins, whose knowledge was passed from father to son over many generations. Even now they are passing their bloody judgment in the lands of Nevendaar, getting rid of those who dared to stand in the wake of their new mistress. From the world of the departed, Mortis brings back the best of Tuugs, so that they could do her bidding, where the army was of little use.

Merging with the shadows of the night, they silently cross the land, sneaking into enemy towns and penetrating even the strongest defenses. There are no locks that would prevent them from entering; neither are there any guards capable of stopping them. Weapons of Tuugs are poison and fear, cunning and meanness, force and persuasion, and a Tuug will never give up until he achieves his goal.
