Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars is a 3D MMORTS/RPG set in Medieval times, immersing players in an intense story of a battle for supremacy in the magical realm of Mythador that include Dragons, Elves and Orcs.

Set in the massively multiplayer fantasy world of Mythador which supports its own living economic, trading, development and diplomacy systems, players will be given the opportunity to leave their mark on the land’s already war torn history when Dawn of Fantasy is launched.

Offering a fresh perspective on the fantasy RTS genre, Dawn of Fantasy will deliver a persistent world war  experience like none before.Thousands of Players living, building, exploring and fighting together to crush with AI controlled strongholds and empires,  in a rich tapestry of story-driven encounters that help to build upon the already weighty single player campaign experience. In a world that continues to trade and evolve even after logging off, Players will also be able to test their armies’ constitution in matched head-to-head, multiplayerencounters on their road to becoming the biggest city-state in Mythador.

Each of the three different races available to players – elves, men and orcs – offer a radically different playing style based on a carefully balanced system of strengths and weaknesses. With an in-game narrative driven by a dramatic historical background, Dawn of Fantasy will combine rich storytelling with compelling gameplay to provide a strategy experience to appeal to MMO and RTS fans alike.

Of Dawn of Fantasy’s many game modes, the Online Kingdom will probably be the most familiar. Taking control of a hero from one of the three races, you must pursue an epic storyline of betrayal, blood and resource-management in the aftermath of a mighty war. With three different campaigns, nine starting regions and a persistent online PvP game, this is a unique combination of MMO, RTS and RPG - and just one of Dawn of Fantasy’s range of modes.

Players initially build their homeland in one of nine regions, ranging from the elven swamps of Erthee l’Bala to the orc deserts of Brakental. Each region has its own advantages, whether it be in a naturally-defensible position, abundant in a certain resource, or ideal for training a certain type of unit.

As their homeland only starts with a handful of buildings and units, players must strive to upgrade it to a thriving estate complete with multiple layers of heavy walls, a complex and sustainable economy, and a number of armies and trade caravans wandering the game world. To develop this city, players can gather resources, construct various buildings, explore the homeland for mines and loot, recruit new units, and research powerful upgrades and new abilities. Even when a player is offline, their homeland will still be in development with their worker units gathering resources and constructing buildings. Like economic management and military strategy, homeland construction is different for each race.

The story opens up through your advisors, special quest-giving units, who also act as the in-game tutorial. Quests can vary between sieges and open battles, to gathering certain resources, to PvP battles in certain regions; rewards vary from resources to units to Influence, which can be used to speed up construction or purchase DLC. There are roughly 150 quests in the game, and more will be available as DLC.

On the larger world map, players can either fight PvP against human opponents using the Auto-match feature, siege NPC towns or enter them. Inside each town, there are merchants, mercenaries, healers and trainers, all waiting to swap gold for services. Players can also zoom into any of their travelling armies, to explore their local area or create defensible camps on the map, acting as forward bases whilst your army heals or builds siege weaponry.

Designed with low system requirements in mind, the Dawn of Fantasy engine will nonetheless render armies of thousands of units and hundreds of terrain objects on screen for epic battle encounters. Once the dust settles on the in game campaigns, players can try exploring their creative side by using the powerful map editor to design the fantasy encounters of their dreams.
