We just came home from the Soundgarden concert, and it was awesome. The opening act, The Mars Volta, was weak sauce and not our cup of tea. (If they're classified as progressive rock, I'll take regressive rock, thank you very much.) The place was packed and temperatures skyrocketed as soon Soundgarden took the stage. They instantly made us forget that they'd split up over a decade ago, with fan favorites like "Black Hole Sun," "Jesus Christ Pose," "Outshined," "Rusty Cage," "Spoonman" and plenty more. Whoever said grunge was dead is sorely mistaken. The thousands of fans in attendance can attest to that!
