Born Ready’s Kickstarter for Strike Suit Zero, the space combat/giant robot action game coming for PC and consoles in 2013, has successfully met its goals in less time than projected, reaching it’s $100,000 goals in 15 days instead of the 30 days they had originally projected.
James Brooksby, CEO of Born Ready Games, says: "We are humbled by the support and happy that so many people are as excited about the game as we are. Perhaps as remarkable as reaching our goal in just 15 days is that we have close to 3,000 backers to date, which is very encouraging. We can't wait for our fans to get their hands on the finished game and the team is as enthusiastic as ever to use this support to make Strike Suit Zero the best game possible.”
There are 14 days to go and as a new stretch goal, Born Ready just announced that Mac and Linux versions of the game if they should hit $180,000. Prior to this, Born Ready announced that they would release Mod Tools if the Kickstarter campaign reaches $130,000, which will allow players to create their own missions as well as campaigns and share them with other fans. Additionally, there are regular updates, for example “top-ups” were introduced recently, which allow backers to add individual items to their pledge.
