'Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan' (3DS) Bundles Music CD, Art Book

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is the latest entry in the long-running RPG franchise designed as a contemporary homage to the pen and paper roleplaying games of old.

Marking the series' arrival on the Nintendo 3DS, Legends of the Titan introduces a wide range of enhancements and additions, including a greatly improved graphics engine with polygonal enemies and special effects designed to take full advantage of the platform's unique 3D capabilities.

As with previous games in the series, players explore beautiful yet menacing realms - each varied in flora and fauna - mapping their journey along the way using the touch screen and their stylus. No two games are ever the same, thanks to a character creation and party customization system that encourages experimentation and rewards creativity and imagination. Moreover, while Legends of the Titan - built with older hardcore gamers in mind -- is still a brutal challenge and not for the faint of heart, a new Casual mode option ensures newcomers to the series and genre need not be intimidated.

For centuries, the tree Yggdrasil has been a constant presence in the lives of the people of Tharsis. It looms on the horizon, visible from everywhere in the city. But its roots are in a far-off land where no one has ventured until the Outland Count of Tharsis sponsors an Explorers Guild to reach Yggdrasil and discover its secrets. You are the latest explorer arriving in Tharsis to seek your fame and fortune. Board your skyship and set out into the clouds in search of treasure, glory, and the answer to Tharsis' oldest mystery.

Those that pre-order or pick up Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan at retail launch will be treated to a limited edition art book as well as music CD (while supplies last).

The art book showcases a variety of colorful imagery from the game. New for the North American audience, illustrator Alexandra Douglass, known for her work on Cloud Factor and the Netrunner collectible card game, will contribute a brand new piece of art inspired by the game's fantasy world and characters.  For a two-page preview sample of the art book please visit here.

The "Rough Drafts & Outtakes" CD gives fans rare access to the famed game composer Yuzo Koshiro's process by providing early arrangements that would be used in creating the final atmospheric orchestrations of Etrian Odyssey IV's musical score.  Moreover, the CD includes tracks that did not make it in the final selection of musical themes.

"Fans of the Etrian Odyssey franchise will not want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind collectible for Etrian Odyssey IV," said Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Atlus. "The game's bonus items in Japan were extremely popular, and we're excited to bring this unique art book with updated imagery and stunning CD soundtrack to those who get their hands on this title at retail launch next year."
