The new venture, Fuzzyeyes Entertainment, will bear the funding of development, publishing, and marketing of upcoming games, including the long-awaited Edge of Twilight. The creation of Fuzzyeyes Entertainment will be the deus ex machina for a game many gamers have been anxiously awaiting.
Edge of Twilight, which resumed development in late 2011, will be expanded into a series of games instead of a stand-alone title. Today it is confirmed that the first of the series will be the title originally announced back in 2008. With its post- apocalyptic, steampunk atmosphere, Edge of Twilight made waves online through its published trailers in 2009 and 2010. The development team has since been focusing on polishing the game’s mechanics for its release later this year.
“We felt that Edge of Twilight has enough potential to be made into a series of games instead of just one title. We are working closely with JDJC & Fuzzyeyes to expand the original game into something even bigger,” says David Liu, president of Futai Engineering Co. and new president of Fuzzyeyes Entertainment Ltd.
The first title, which is set for release in late 2012, will carry the name of the series itself, Edge of Twilight, and will focus around Lex, a half-breed who can bridge the gap between the realms of darkness and light. This forthcoming title will be an action/adventure game with heavy focus on gameplay, story, and puzzles.
