Each weather balloon will have a GPS tracking device so eager beavers wanting to see if there is one in their area can check on the official masseffect website.
Last year THQ had a similar PR stunt where it launched thousands GameStop-branded red balloons in the San Fransisco skies, but bad weather foiled any positive plans and the balloons landed prematurly littering all over the Bay Area. Eventhough THQ made a statement that the balloons were 100% organic product and are biodegradable, Gamestop distanced itself from the event and environmentalists were furious for the pollution/littering of the area.
