In an adventure-filled tour across Europe with a traveling circus, players can take on the role of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo in a journey to escape the evil clutches of crazed animal control officer Captain Chantal Dubois and return home to New York City.

Madagascar 3: The Video Game will bring the circus to life with all of your favorite Madagascar characters including Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo and Melman the Giraffe. In single or two player co-op mode, players will travel across Europe to promote the circus by completing challenging and zany missions given by the Penguins, performing amazing publicity stunts on some of Europe’s most notable landmarks, and dazzling the crowd with fun circus acts fit only for a Madagascar-style circus extravaganza! All the Madagascar friends are along for the ride in this comedic circus adventure including King Julien, Maurice and Mort, the chimps Phil and Mason, the Penguins, plus their new circus pals Stefano the sea lion, Vitaly the Siberian tiger and Gia the jaguar.

Madagascar 3: The Video Game captures the thrill of the circus in a unique combination of action and adventure that will dazzle players with a spectacular array of skillful acrobatic and jaw-dropping abilities,” said Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3P. “Players will experience an all new wild circus adventure traveling through iconic European locales from the movie and beyond.”

“The Madagascar franchise continues to be an important and successful global brand for us, and this video game brings to life the film’s Madagascar-style circus fun in a truly exciting and memorable gameplay experience that will thrill kids and families alike,” said Chris Hewish, Head of Global Interactive for DreamWorks Animation.

In Madagascar 3: The Video Game for Nintendo 3DS and DS, players will experience a unique side-scrolling platform adventure by participating in stealthy missions and performing publicity stunts throughout Europe, all while avoiding the pesky clutches of animal control officers.
