by Rainier on May 1, 2012 @ 4:00 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Awesomenauts (PSN)

The year is 3587, conflict spans the stars. Huge robot armies are locked in an enduring stalemate. At the centre is a team of elite mercenaries fighting for the spoils of war: The Awesomenauts.

Awesomenauts is a side-scrolling multiplayer online battle arena game. The game mixes '80s cartoon graphics and platforming with a deep upgrade system. Awesomenauts allows up to six players to battle across multiple alien worlds. Featuring a playable roster of six unique heroes, Awesomenauts brings together team play and lightsaber-wielding aliens.

Defeat droids, turrets, other players and the enemy base to win. The choice of characters includes a cowboy who solves everything with dynamite, a floating brain that can heal allies, a spacefrog that uses breakdance moves. If you need help, you can have your friends join you online — or on the couch using split-screen.

Awesomenauts is available on PlayStation Network for $9.99.

Mortal Kombat (PSV)

The PS Vita edition of Mortal Kombat offers over-the-top fatalities and cringe-worthy X-ray moves. Players can play 150 brand-new Challenge Tower missions, including touch-screen Fatalities, Test Your Slice and Test Your Balance. Players can also take the fight to their friends with local multiplayer using ad-hoc connectivity or against friends near and far with a Wi-Fi connection.

Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita is available for an MSRP of $39.99.

Sniper Elite V2 (PS3/X360/PC)

Sniper Elite V2 is a third-person tactical shooter set during the final days of World War II. Players take on the role of undercover American OSS agent Karl Fairburne, who stalks enemy prey across historical locations throughout Berlin and unravel the dangers of the German V-2 rocket program before it falls into the hands of Stalin's Red Army.

Sniper Elite V2 places an emphasis on learning to handle the anticipation and pressure of the hunt and using skill, patience and cunning. Gamers must use their environments and take into account gravity, wind, aim stability and more.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Sniper Elite V2 features two-player, online co-op in Kill Tally, Bombing Run, Overwatch and Campaign, where fans play through the single-player game with a friend.

Sniper Elite V2 is rated "M" for "Mature" by the ESRB.

Tera (PC)

Tera provides the depth of a traditional MMO with the gratification of an action game. After creating characters, players join with an alliance of all races to save their homelands from ravaging armies that threaten to destroy the gods who hold the world together. Players actively aim, dodge and block as the game's real-time combat system takes into account player skill, stats and position.

Tera also introduces a revolutionary political system in which players wield power in a province based on their in-game political prowess.

The standard edition of Tera is available for an MSRP of $49.99. Two collector's editions are also available: a traditional boxed edition for $79.99 and a digital download for $59.99. All games include 30 days of game time, and additional game time is available for $14.99 per month.
