The Dance Central universe continues to expand with electrifying new features that keep the party going, including an all-new multiplayer mode for up to eight players, and the hottest, most diverse soundtrack yet, featuring Usher, Gloria Gaynor, 50 Cent and many more!

In Dance Central 3, players get sent back in time to dance their way through the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s and beyond – learning popular dance crazes like “The Hustle,” “Electric Slide” and “The Dougie,” alongside the hottest moves from today. The beat keeps rocking with an innovative new party mode for up to eight players, the ability to import your songs from previous Dance Central titles, and more*! The best full-body dance experience on Kinect for Xbox 360 is better in every way with Dance Central 3!

Dance Central 3 features brand new ways to play with your friends, including the innovative Crew Throwdown mode. With support for up to eight players, Crew Throwdown pits two teams of up to four dancers head-to-head in a series of performances, dance battles, and fresh mini-games to prove who’s the hottest crew on the dance floor! Crew Throwdown features innovative gameplay, including the all-new rhythm-tracking Keep the Beat mini-game and Make Your Move, which will have players competing head-to-head as they create fresh routines on the fly!

With more than 40 songs on the disc spanning the hottest hits of yesterday through today’s biggest contemporary dance songs, “Dance Central 3” features popular chart-toppers and the most varied soundtrack in dance games. Continuing the tradition Harmonix pioneered with its “Rock Band” series, the library from the original “Dance Central” and “Dance Central 2” will be importable into “Dance Central 3.” The fully integrated in-game Music Store will allow players to continue to expand their libraries, for a total of more than 140 songs and routines available at launch.

Today, Harmonix is announcing 9 additional tracks for the soundtrack, each with authentic dance routines created by professional choreographers, including:

  • Afrojack ft. Eva Simons – “Take Over Control”
  • Alexandra Stan – “Mr. Saxobeat”
  • Ciara ft. Missy Elliott – “1, 2 Step”
  • Cupid – “Cupid Shuffle”
  • Daft Punk – “Around The World”
  • Dev ft. The Cataracts – “Bass Down Low”
  • Enur ft. Natasja – “Calabria 2008”
  • Martin Solveig ft. Dragonette – “Hello”
  • The Trammps – "Disco Inferno"

Dance Central 3’s newly revealed Story mode sends players back in time to learn classic dance moves alongside their favorite crews and characters from the series. Played solo or cooperatively with a friend, players will join the ranks of Dance Central Intelligence (DCI) to uncover a dastardly plot to destroy Dance Central.  To put a stop to the villainous machinations of Dr. Tan, players must journey through time to learn iconic dance moves from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and beyond. Can DCI master classic crazes like The Hustle, The Electric Slide and more in time to prevent the ultimate dance criminal from ending the dance party permanently?

Dance Central 3’s Story mode is a full-featured campaign experience that combines the award-winning controller-free dance experience seen in previous iterations of Dance Central with new game mechanics that’ll surprise and challenge even most experienced dancers! Unlock power moves, decode crazes from across the eras, and travel through time to save the world…all while interacting with the great personalities and unparalleled choreography that define the Dance Central experience.

Harmonix also revealed that dance crew Riptide’s Bodie and Emilia have been drafted by Dance Central Intelligence to take down Dr. Tan and his army! Dispatched to the 2000s, Bodie and Emilia have been secretly studying the moves of that decade, all while rising to fame on the flashy set of the popular dance and music program, “Dance Central Live”!
