'AR-K' Story Episodes Written By Comic Book Author Greg Rucka

by Rainier on April 24, 2013 @ 9:46 a.m. PDT

Told in a classic point-and-click narrative, AR-K is a captivating adult drama that spins satire, comedy and rich 3D animation into a futuristic adventure that will capture your imagination.

AR-K tells the story of Alice, a smart student of journalism, with viperine tongue, who lives in a futuristic society, a place where everything seems to be perfect, but underlying all that perfection there is something that doesn´t fit. The finding of a mystery object push Alice to begin a complicated research trying to identify what lies between reality and fake.

Gato Salvaje announced that comic writer Greg Rucka, known for his work on such comics as Action Comics, Batwoman, Detective Comics, Wolverine and the miniseries Superman: World of New Krypton, has been tapped to write the story for upcoming episodes of the point & click adventure game AR-K.

One of the most acclaimed comic-book writers and novelists in America, Rucka has been brought on to work on Episodes Three and Four. Rucka's previous  credits include work at DC Comics (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) as well as Marvel (Spider-Man, Wolverine, Elektra, the Punisher), and a raft of award-winning creator owned books from Oni Press (Whiteout, Queen & Country, Stumptown).

Greg Rucka is not the only one supporting the project as Ash Sroka, the woman who voiced Tali'Zorah of the Normandy in the Mass Effect Trilogy, will be the game's hero, Alicia. Her amazing talent and lovely voice will bring Alicia's humor, wit, and drive to life in a new, and wonderful, way.

The studio also announced today that the game is now on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform to release episode 3 and 4 of the game but also to add more localization languages like German, French or Russian.

AR-K Episode 1 is available for free on iOS, Kindle Fire, PC and Mac.
