2K has entered into an exclusive multi-year agreement with WWE granting it the exclusive worldwide rights to publish the WWE video game franchise across all major platforms and distribution channels. With the addition of the WWE franchise, 2K will continue a 15-year tradition established by past WWE titles.

In its Q4 earning report Take Two revealed that WWE 2K14 is planned for release on October 29, 2013.
