SimCity engages a new generation of PC gamers as they take charge of their own customized cities and build a world that co-exists alongside friends. For the first time in SimCity franchise history, players' decisions have long-lasting repercussions that extend beyond their city limits. Together, players address real global challenges such as climate change, the search for renewable resources and natural disasters. It's up to the players to decide whether to compete or collaborate to shape the world of tomorrow – for better or for worse.
Maxis has sent out a survey request to players asking their feedback on possible new features, expansion plans and an offline mode (something that was claimed impossible by Maxis studio boss Lucy Bradshaw but debunked by a Maxis "insider".)
The potential Expansion Pack includes:
- Simulate to the Sky (build SuperScrapers with multiple zones zones, multi-layered transportation, and denser cities.)
- Create Futuristic Greed (consumerism, mega corporation, robotics to augmentation business, more trash/ pollution) or Greed cities (clean technology, research advanced technology, wealthy/highly skilled workers, collaborate with others cities.)
- Transform Tomorrow (watch your cities change with future technologies, watch the effects of your futuristic cities on your region.)
Possible new features are farms, faster rebuilding after you've been hit by a disasters, x2 bigger cities, one way traffic, subways, lower/raise highways, import characters/houses from The Sims, terraforming, and plenty more.
A "Classic mode" is also listed as "In offline or online mode, play a single, fully functioning city using cheats and unlocks that allow you to create your perfect city."
