Indie developer Amplitude Studios revealed it has sold more than 1.2 million combined units of its “Endless” games Endless Legend, Endless Space and Dungeon of the Endless since it created the studio two and half years ago.

The 40-person French developer hit its peak on Black Friday  as Endless Legend firmly sat atop the best-selling charts for the majority of the day.

Endless Legend is set in the same Endless universe, and offers players the chance to develop a fantasy civilization through seamless turn-based combat on the dying planet of Auriga. Players have the ability to pick one of eight beautifully crafted factions, thrust heroes into tactical battle using a variety of strategic terrain, develop technological and political power, and conquer the planet through diplomatic or military means.

Players will build their nations with up to eight factions and 16 minor factions through a single-player or multiplayer campaign using tactical, military, and political means on randomly generated, hexagonal worlds of varying altitudes with the ultimate goal of developing the most powerful civilization on the planet. With research capabilities of up to 100 technologies across four eras, gamers will encounter long harsh seasons as they struggle to achieve one of the up to eight potential victory scenarios. They’ll dig in to fight battles with a variety of powerful heroes and create a robust economy using Dust (money), food, industry, science, and more.

Endless Space is a turn-based 4X strategy game, covering the space colonization age in the Endless universe, where you can control every aspect of your civilization as you strive for galactic dominion.

This galaxy is ancient, and its first intelligent life was the civilization we call the Endless. Long before our eyes gazed upon the stars they flew between them, though all that remains of this people is what we call Dust. A substance found scattered or in forgotten temples, it once gave powers to admirals and galactic governors. The galaxy will belong to the faction that can take control of the Dust and uncover its secrets…

Dungeon of the Endless is a rogue-like dungeon-defense game offering a retro 2D look with modern 3D graphics.

Dungeon of the Endless enables players to equip a team, gather resources and construct defenses, and explore an infinite number of dungeons in an effort to reach the planet’s surface. Each time players start a new game, they will experience a totally new, randomly generated map, collect resources just like those found in Endless Space (Dust, Food, Industry, and Science), and battle an armada of fiesty alien enemies.
