The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen. Strap it on.

Last week, we revealed Dust: An Elysian Tail as the first Games with Gold title. Today we can confirm that Saints Row: The Third is the Games on Demand selection for the latter half of the month.

Originally released on Nov. 15, 2011, Saints Row: The Third tells the story of The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, which has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen. Strap it on.

We gave the game a 8.5/10 in our Xbox 360 review. The Metacritic aggregate score for Saints Row: The Third is 84/100.

The current price on Saints Row: The Third is $19.99. As soon as the promotion goes live on May 16, the price will drop to $0.00 on for anyone with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. 48-hour and 14-day trial subscriptions do not qualify for the free game.

You will be able to get the free game directly on your Xbox 360 console or via the Xbox.com marketplace.
