On one side, players will be able to experience a world of fantasy, filled with magic drawn from the life and nature found around the ancient jungles and temples of the terrain. The other is the world of Steam, a mechanized society of giant walking cities, which utilizes engineering and mechanized equipment to gain supremacy.

Players will be able to trigger more than 3,000 dynamic events and actions that can change the game world itself. Additionally, characters will have the ability to change forms and drive giant armors in combat, creating a variety of fun and different encounters for both PvE and PvP experiences.

Using the same propriety Flexi engine that created the visually stunning world in Age of Wushu, Snail Games has incorporated the technology to make dynamic shadows and vivid colors in the surreal world of Black Gold.

"Our Closed Alpha period saw incredible player participation and useful feedback, which we've taken into consideration as the game continues progression. Closed Beta opens the floodgates even more for player eligibility, which means a more complete game experience for players to test and for our development team to evaluate as we look toward the game's summer launch."

Closed Beta features for Black Gold Online include:

• Large-Scale Battlegrounds - Including over 100 customizable 'Carriers' (large battle mounts) to develop for each faction
• True Hardcore PvP - Fight against opposing forces (as well as members of the same faction) across a variety of battlegrounds, arenas and hidden 'Chambers of Greed' 
• Energy Well Battles - Join even larger struggles and form armies to fight for control of precious resources in large-scale faction and guild battles
• Additional Upgrades - Revamped graphics, smoother textures, an updated User Interface and other mechanical changes

Black Gold Online Closed Beta test will conclude on May 28.

Black Gold Online will be available via free download and a special retail version this summer exclusively for PC.
