Thanks to a combination of promotions, it is still possible to get Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the Kindle from the Amazon Appstore completely FREE today. Even if you don't have a Kindle, it's worth doing because when you're done you'll have a little more than $23 in Amazon "coin" credit to use for other games or apps on the Amazon Appstore.

Step 1: Sign in to the Amazon Appstore. You will need to have at least one Android device linked to the Amazon Appstore in order to purchase anything.

Step 2: "Purchase" all five of the following titles. They are all FREE today (May 22). Each "purchase" gives you 200 Amazon coins.

1. Don't step the white tile
2. Dr. Panda's Restaurant
3. Food Network in the Kitchen
4. iHeartRadio
5. Strawberry Shortcake Bake Shop

At this point you should have 1,000 Amazon coins ($10 USD) in your account.

NOTE: If you already took advantage of the previous promotion, you can't purchase GTA: San Andreas again. You'll still come away with $10 in Amazon credit.

Step 3: Purchase Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas from the Amazon Appstore. When making the purchase be sure to select "Spend Amazon Coins." Do NOT select "Use 1-click settings."

The game costs $6.99 USD, which translates to 699 Amazon coins.

If you do not have a Kindle on your account you will get a notice that says, "Non-compatible device. If you continue with this purchase, you may be purchasing an app that doesn't work with your device."

Ignore it and click continue.

Step 4: After confirming the purchase, you will get an additional 2,000 Amazon coins ($20 USD) deposited into your Amazon Appstore account. Combined with the previous amount, you should now have 2,301 Amazon coins ($23.01 USD) to spend.
