'Minimum' Gets Free Beta Weekend

by Rainier on May 8, 2014 @ 10:34 p.m. PDT

Set in a minimalistic stylized universe, Minimum features fast-paced, session-based combat that pits teams of five against each other with powerful, craftable weapons.

Each team has their own gigantic robotic Titan that they power up and support to help them fight and destroy the enemy’s base. At the core of Minimum is an elaborate blueprint crafting system where players collect resources to create customized weapons and armor that power-up during kill streaks, enabling skilled warriors and Titans to become deadlier as matches progress.

After a successful beta weekend which saw thousands of players discover the fast-paced, minimalistic world of Minimum, Atari, in response to voluminous player feedback, has decided to hold another free beta weekend for all those who tried their luck at snagging a limited code, but weren’t able to grab one. New players can get a code now at the official website, and last weekend’s players can join in the action by signing into Minimum on Steam with their existing accounts.

Facts about the Minimum beta weekend

  • New players looking to get a key must register.
  • Codes will start working at 8 a.m. PDT on Friday, May 9th and last until 10 p.m. PDT on Sunday, May 11th
  • Returning players do not need to create a new account and all their prior achievements will still be valid
  • If someone claimed a key last weekend (5/2/14-5/4/14) it should work this weekend; if a key does not work, players must uninstall the game and re-install on their computer.  Or, they can sign-up again and claim a new beta key at the official website!

Minimum was initially created by TimeGate Studios. Early on, TimeGate and the Atari team engaged into discussions to cooperate on the project. Atari then worked with TimeGate to help extricate Minimum out of the TimeGate bankruptcy and ensure that it would come to fruition. With the further involvement of Human Head Studios, Atari will proudly present this new breed of combat and crafting to gamers.

Minimum is no longer a free-to-play title.
