'Project CARS' (ALL) Gets Slighty Delayed

by Rainier on Feb. 18, 2015 @ 10:47 a.m. PST

Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulation) is a crowd-funded racing game where the community participates in the development of the game.

Project CARS is the most authentic, beautiful, intense and technically-advanced racing game on the planet.  Guided, tested and approved by a passionate community of racing fans and real-life drivers, Project CARS represents the next-generation of racing simulation.  Featuring a variety of motorsport and unprecedented track roster as well as a sandbox career mode, Project CARS leaves the competition behind in the dust.

Project CARS gives players the freedom to choose their own destiny - whether that's starting as a karting prodigy and going on to become an Formula champion within 3 years, to return year after year and defend your GT title against all on-comers, or to prove your dominance across six other distinct and popular motorsports.

Featuring a dynamic time of day and weather system, full pit stops & strategies, fully-loaded online play, a comprehensive tuning system, over 100 tracks, bleeding-edge physics, and a world-class graphics engine supporting 4K gaming and Oculus Rift, Project CARS is the truly next-generation race experience.

Originally scheduled for release in March, Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Games have pushed the game a few weeks.

The slight shift of the release date is due to final adjustments in the game that are required to provide fans with the best gaming experience they can have.

"Moving the release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS”, said Ian Bell, Head of Studioat Slightly Mad Studios. “But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April”.
